新式的混凝土模块式排水检查井利用模块的嵌锁性，防水效果好，有效改善在砖砌检查井闭水时出现爬梯、管道与检查井衔接处漏水及因渗漏导致路面沉降等情况。同时，新型排水检查井整体结构受力明确，易于砌筑、简单便捷，适用于市政、工业与民用建筑室外雨水及无腐蚀性污水管道。该工艺的运用为湖州首次，下步也将推广到全市市政道路雨污井的建设中。
